Genesis Press Inc. is the home of Indigo Romance, the nation's leading line of African-American romance novels. Genesis is a pioneer in publishing diverse lines of romance, including: Tango Two, which features Hispanic leading characters; Love Spectrum, which concentrates on interracial romance; and Indigo After Dark, a more sensuous romance line.

Founded in 1993 by attorneys Wilbur and Dorothy Colom, Genesis released its first novel in 1995. In seven years Genesis grew from releasing four titles a year to twenty-eight titles a year, with romance remaining the core line. In addition to fiction we publish a variety of nonfiction titles including Lasting Valor, the story of the only living African-American to receive the Medal of Honor. We also publish How to Write a Romance for the New Market, to assist writers. Another line we are proud of is our children's books with such titles as Tiger Woods: A Biography for Kids.

The Genesis Press catalogue includes more than 130 titles in 2001.
